About Xavier Van

Hello, I’m Xavier Van, a redshirt junior wide receiver at the University of New Mexico and proud graduate of Helix Charter High School in San Diego, California. I’m not the biggest name on the team or the most hyped recruit. But through hard work, discipline, and belief, I’ve earned my spot on the depth chart at a Division I football program.

My path hasn’t been easy. I’ve overcome the impact of COVID on recruiting, battled injuries, and adapted to three different coaching staffs in just three years. Still, I stayed the course. I never gave up, and I never stopped grinding.

Now, I’m using my platform to inspire young athletes who feel overlooked or counted out. I want to show them that resilience, faith, and daily effort are the real keys to growth.

Off the field, I’m pursuing a degree in business finance and volunteering in the community (UNM youth football camps and with veterans homeless outreach programs). I also believe in building a brand with purpose, a brand that reflects consistency, humility, and the power of silent progress.
